Shine!

I wanted to just write something informative about one of my favorite events that we host here at Winterthur each year - Shine! Shine is a fundraiser for The Cancer Center of Chester County. Their mission is simple, “through the generosity of our sponsors and caring people like you, SHINE aims to lessen the burdens of this disease by helping the patient confront the challenges of cancer with dignity, determination, and hope. Shine proceeds are used to directly benefit patients and their families by off-setting the costs of cancer care and support services”.

What a great mission and what a great team that puts this event on. The committee is so focused and there is a wonderful group of woman who work so hard on this event all year long. It is my absolute pleasure to work with them on an event that is so meaningful every year.

This year the committee wanted to mix it up - we had previously had a seated dinner in the Visitor Center. This year we turned it completely around and had stations and hors d’oeuvres in the Gallery with an extended tent. Theme - Moroccan Nights. Check out some of these great ideas and pictures…
